Amlogic: LED controls and rumble [Dualshock 3] [Bluetooth]

Hello,

I’ve connected a Dualshock 3 to an Odroid C2, but it is not fully supported. If I understand it correctly, from what I found here (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Sony_DualShock), the kernel needs to be at least v3.15 to get rid of the blinking LEDs and to have force feedback.

I guess, this is the relevant commit (https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?id=fee4e2d526c08946f481a27fd40090edce005080), which enables the missing features.

Is it possible to port them into the 3.14 kernel or will we (amlogic devices) have a higher kernel version in the forseeable future?

Many thanks

Thanks for this post, it is very helpful - being new it is reassuring to start to work out what is my own error or what is a work in progress.

I have a Beelink MIni MXIII II S905X running latest Lakka 905 build (used the relevant LIbreELEC 8.2 dtb) and it all booted first time.

I too use a Dualshock 3 and the four flashing LEDs were bugging me too.

Good question, it does seem to have been difficult for LibreELEC/CoreELEC to move beyond 3.14.

It seems, this topic is not in the interest of the developers for the amlogic sector, or they are not reading here. Github would also be the wrong place to ask, because my topic is not a bug.

Now I’ve bought an Mayflash adapter for my Wii U Pro controller, which is fully supported. Vibration and automatic standby is working and the controller is no longer collecting dust

I’ve made an issue for this on github, because there is a backport available in the CoreELEC project.
