Correct Settings for 'Sync to Exact Content Framerate' Option

What are the correct settings you should enable or disable so the ‘Sync to Exact Content Framerate (G-Sync, FreeSync)’ option works as intended?.

I know you have to…

  • Enable ‘Sync to Exact Content Framerate (G-Sync, FreeSync)’

  • Set ‘Vertical Refresh Rate’ to your max monitors refresh rate (in my case 144hz)

  • Enable V-sync (which is odd, as with every other game you have to disabled v-sync in order for G-sync to work)

but if i want to get as low latency as possible is it ok to…

  • Enable ‘Hard GPU Sync’

  • Set ‘Hard GPU Sync Frames’ to 2

  • Enable ‘Run-Ahead’

  • Set ‘Run A-head’ to desired frames

will enabling any of these mess up the, Sync to Exact Content Framerate feature?..also should i be disabling or enabling any other settings?

First part is good.

For your 2nd part you can use any of the settings you listed, in the limits of what your machine can allow, same as without “exact sync”.
The lowest lag but also most stressful setting for Hard GPU Sync Frames is 0.
