Disable second window showing log entries?

I‘ve used the startmenu entry „RetroArch (log to file)“ to dump a log to my hdd.

However, RetroArch now brings up an additional window with a running log whenever I try to start RA via the regular link.

Is there a way to disable this second command prompt window?

I believe in settings > logging, turning logging verbosity to off should do it
