Eizo lcd square monitor

Hi Guys,

Do you know this monitor : EIZO EV2730q ?

What about the square format ? It looks like it will be great for horizontal and vertical games. And the resolution, 1920x1920, is a multiple of 320, 240, 640, 480. So, do you think, in term of screen ratio that this one is good for retrogaming ?

Not sure the vertical resolution will help that much if you send a 4:3 ratio that will have black bars on top & bottom. It’s also an IPS screen with a contrast inferior to 1000:1.

I’m looking to change my screen too and that’s such a bother. Can’t find anything at least better than my old 2010 TV on all fronts (and at twice the price I paid back then, just for 4k, a worse input lag, 60Hz only…).
