Menu Toggle Gamepad Combo work?

Testing out RetroArch 1.76 on Windows to see how it works as a potential in building my own stand up game console. I am using a PS3 in Windows 10 and set the Menu Toggle Gamepad Combo to L3 + R3. When I hit these buttons together the game doesn’t exit to the menu at all. Nothing happens. Thoughts? I can’t see playing a game with just a bunch of buttons and other items and not being able to exit the game to the main menu. Obviously in the end won’t have a keyboard.

dunno what to tell you other than maybe try another combo. They definitely work, as I use one on my HTPC every day.
