Poor framerate, XMB, RPi3

So here’s another problem I found on the latest Raspberry Pi 3 image of Lakka: The XMB menu is not as smooth anymore. I’ve seen people suggest RGUI, but I need XMB because I love the look of it, and Im developing my own custom themes for it too. In my older version, XMB would be a smooth 60fps on my 1080p monitor. Now it is about 20 - 30 fps, and seems to get worse depending on how many options are present in the currently selected menu.

Are there any options that could help? I did disable as many things as I could, and Icon Shadows or Snow themes are out of the question, as those never performed better than 10 fps.

I have the same problem Im on RPi3b+ and have around 40-45 fps in xmb. Tried disabling as much crap as possible but it didnt help.

I’ve actually been experimenting lots with this before I update my post, I found that forcing the Pi to 720p fixes it, but I’m really not interested in 720p. I know there must be a way to make a 1080p friendly menu for the Pi.
