Severe controller glitches after Windows Update

Windows Update’s done it again. I was running RetroArch 1.7.5 with no problems, Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows (essentially emulating an Xbox 360 controller) and everything was great.

This morning the computer had updated itself again and despite no config changes to anything, all controller “actions” now seem to do completely random things:

  • Everything is too “fast” (like pressing “right” and it skips 4 or 5 menu entries to the right instead of 1, almost instantly)

  • Binds seem to have been changed around despite no changes to the config - retroarch wasn’t running at the time of the restart

  • Keyboard alone seems fine… but if I plug in the controller, even if not touching it, then keyboard input is subject to the same glitches. Wtf??

I upgraded to 1.7.6 with no changes

Anybody else with this issue, or experiences with something similar?
