The only 98UM version that runs through Retroarch on android, is “98UM Hero”, made for PGM2 hardware. It is a stripped down version of the original Taito Type X game, without the 3D elements, but mostly intact gameplay (which means it is a fine tunned version of the classic 98, with a few added characters).
You can perfectly run it in Retroarch64 with the latest Mame core. It is a bit CPU demanding though, so you need a fairly powerful smartphone.
Ps. There is no way for the real 2002UM to be played on android through Retroarch.
