How to use PS1 games with more than one disc?

Hi everybody.

I am playing PS1 games with my Fire TV stick, RetroArch 1.7.0 and the PCSx ReARMed core. Most games run fine with this setup.

Usually I make a folder with the name of the game, copy the CUE and BIN files into that folder and load the CUE file. This works for games with a single disc.

But there are games, like “Fear Effect”, which consist of four discs.

When the game prompts to insert disc 2, what am I supposed to do?

Is it even possible to play PS1 games with >1 disc?

Multi disc games will prompt for the other CD when you reach a certain point of the game, back and forth, in this example I’m using Riven because it’s probably the game that uses more discs I know, in PS1 it has 5 discs, and it’s interesting because it will prompt you to swap back to the first discs since you need to come back to the first areas to progress in the game. Saves are usually stored separately for each game, this applies to multi discs, so if you, say, reach the second disc in Metal…

I think this is exactly what I was looking for. Without an m3u file the games are almost unpayable because the saves would mess up, right?
