My pad is suddenly working fine with the latest nightly build. I pinned down that this is the commit that seems to have broken it in the first place:
Confirmed: It is now working! Thank you hunterk and everybody who helped confirm this issue to get it resolved. I can now play my retro games all I want the way i want. You guys are amazing!
That’s normal operation for a XB360 controller using the xpad kernel driver. The XBONE controller doesn’t have this issue.
The issue seems to be fixed in Mainline kernel 4.2. Here is the commit.
Thanks everyone! I can also confirm everything is working. I purged ubuntu-xboxdrv, reset my config and all is well.
