Is there a MAME 0.78 core and, if so, how is the compatibility?
So with Snes9x Next, the button input should be all right on the Classic Controller, despite the wiiimote input issues? =D
Wow this is fantastic news I’m mega excited about all the fixes and improvements made with 1.0.0.2. Godlance any chance u could compile a core with the NGP input issues fixed? It’s would be nice to finally be able to upgrade from 0.9.9 and have all this additional enhancements/improvements. Has an issue been reported on the repo? If one is already compiled it might be easy enough for the LibRetro Team to push out a quick fix release.
Vague Rant your knowledge on video display emulation is very insightful and I enjoy the discussions very much. I was going to suggest opening up you own thread maybe to help users such as myself better understand and setup our systems and I didn’t want to clog the thread up with my questions. I also think other users could benefit from conversations like these so a PM would be selfish lol. EDIT: just seen your Wii/GC pixels are not square thread perfect place for discussion thanks for that.

1.0.2 has been out for a couple of days on Wii and is quite a fantastic and stable release I must say. like being able to map hotkeys like fast forward button again on Snes or any core for that matter, not to mention the content auto-detection (which changes the core based on the ROM file type) is a nice feature! They’re really done a fantastic job on this release! I recommend trying it out =D Best emulator on the Wii!
Can you isolate the PGM portion of the FBA core into it’s own core? I’ve done the math and several games should fit into memory, mostly shmups.
Also can you compile the MAME core?
Yeah something had been said about splitting the MAME core due to the lack of memory on Wii. Not sure if Toad King has had the time to do this though, unless others can split the codebase for that core. More compatibility would be great.
Any chance to get any updated cores?
If not it’s ok.
