Logging issue on Win7

I’m having trouble with screen rotation crashing RA, but I now discovered that I can’t get a log with my old method either. This from the docs .\retroarch.exe --log-file .\retroarch-log.txt -v

works with 1.7.5, but with 1.7.7 I just get the help info.

Looking into the logging settings of 1.7.7 the options have apparently been expanded compared to the older version, but I’m seeing nothing that’s suggesting it shouldn’t work anymore. Anyone have an idea what to do?

it broke temporarily with 1.7.7. It works in the nightlies. You can still get a log by setting logging verbosity to DEBUG and log to file to ON.

Switching to a nightly fixed it indeed, thanks! I’ve discovered that the rotation crashing appears to be caused by CG shaders, so I guess it can’t be helped anyway. The crashes also don’t happen with video rotation instead of screen rotation, so that should suffice I think.
