1.3 not working on Vista 64 bit

I keep getting this error “The procedure entry point PowerCreateRequest could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.” is there a fix for this yet?

can you try later nightlies, I think this was fixed already

Just the newest night lies? Or a specific one?

Sorry I don’t really know how the nightly builds work. Do you mean to try this download? http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/2016-02-05_RetroArch.7z

OK so I dowloaded the new nightlies and now the KERNEL32.dll error does not come up. HOWEVER, now i get a retroarch.exe has stopped working error

UPDATE

OK, so… after trial and error i have figured out a fix… kind of. If you screw up enough, your bound to do somthing right. However this is going to still need work/help from someone to get it to have the right interface. If you follow these steps this will work fine, but will have the old style interface. I personaly don’t care about the looks of the interface as im using LaunchBox as my frontend.

First step I uninstalled and deleted everything i previously has installed for retroarch. I aslo created a new folder for retroarch and moved the dowloaded zipped files into the new folder before extracting… important to do each of these steps one at a time and extract one at a time not all at once.

1- Installed this FIRST http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/redist-x86_64.7z This is all the DLL files

2- Installed this next http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/2016-02-05_RetroArch.7z This is the executible program USE THIS ONE NOT THE ONE THAT WILL GET DOWNLOADED WITH STEP 3

3- Installed this LAST http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/RetroArch.7z This will add all your File Folders. Shaders, Assets, Cores, ect. IMPORTANT You will be asked if you want to replace files because these new ones will have the same names. Select NO TO ALL***

Oh well, the nightlies are just the exe, you have to unzip them on top of an existing full package otherwise it won’t start Good to know it works now

I tried that way and that’s when i got the retroarch.exe has stopped working error. But for some reason that combo worked

Well, step 3 then step 2 should be enough

I’m fairly certain I tried in that order and ended up with the KERNEL32.DLL error again. I will try it tomorrow and let you know though.
