1.3 PS3 Issues?

Hey all,

Really appreciate the support for PS3 on this forum, it is quite simply amazing!

I am having a serious issue with retroarch. Everytime I install any version besides 1.0.0.2, and attempt to load the pkg, it just kicks me back to the xmb screen. I’ve deleted and installed the package multiple times, and downloaded from the official links. Is anyone else having these issues, or know what I need to do? I cannot get 1.3 to load at all! Running CFW4.80 Ferrox.

Are you trying to install cex 1.3.6 plus beta? If yes, then try this fix over the cex build, it could work mega:///#!kFohwT5A!mcykU58IrpJ5Xq8q8rOELkSJXcZd86yAf1QtX6-eEdo- Don’t worry if you read it renamed for dex ita cfw.

thanks but I just tried that fix and it does the same thing, just loops me back to the xmb…

Give a try to this single core https://www.sendspace.com/file/wfadli just to verify if it loads fine for you. It has a different way to sign the files, just the one i introduced in the main repo. Unfortunately i only tested it on rebug cfw, testers are necessary for a full ps3 support.

Thanks for your help, I usually don’t check this forum but I will try to be a beta testing for you.

I have tried this package as well, and it does not work. The only pkg that works is v1.0.0.2, which runs flawlessly. All these other ones just loop me back to the xmb. I am running cfw ferrox 4.80. Am I doing anything wrong?

Did you try to install that single core pkg over the 1.3.6 plus beta cex release? If no, try to do it and let me know.

Yes, I downloaded and installed the 1.3.6 plus beta cex, and then I installed that fix over, and it just loops back to the xmb. Is there something wrong with my system?

If all the other homebrews and games work on your cfw then it’s a limitation of the cfw, i already noticed somthing similar on the dex ita, letting me think that rebug cfw has better support for himebrew, anyway we’ll find the solution. Try this resigned pkg on a clean installation and report the feedback here. https://mega.nz/#!QYhSXJBJ!rmmRREzKY3gxW_I_GcYhZr-KeZUIQ5ywMl9K-zs4os0

Same results! Just loops back into the xmb screen.

Should I use a different CFW instead of the Ferrox I am currently using?

No, i would like that retroarch supports the ferrow cfw too, so please just wait for the next test.

Have 1.2.2 beta ever worked for you?

update needed . and may be the issue will resolve
