1st gen iPad mini n64 unstable

Hey all

I’ve downloaded a few roms and run them using Mupen64plus in retroarch. Games like banjo kazooie and ocarina of time are too slow to play on my iPad mini but it feels like my iPad mini should be able to run these games right? There’s no end of settings for this emulator and I have a feeling that if I tweak them properly it’ll run faster. It seems silly to have such a good app but not being able to take full advantage of it. I need your help guys! Thanks in advance

In the core options, you can try setting it to use the dynarec core instead of interpreter and that will give you a huge speed boost, assuming it’s not already using it. Dynarec requires a jailbreak, though, just to be clear.

Oh damn I’ve not jail broken so I guess I can’t do that  cheers for the suggestion though. If there is really nothing else I can do to boost speed then I’ll consider jail breaking. Any other ideas?

Pretty much just in the core options. You can try picking different, less accurate options, and I’m not sure if the cached interpreter core requires a jailbreak or not.

I’m using the cached interpreter core already. I’m quite new to this so I’m not sure which options I should change as some of them give me a black screen and just audio.
