I was wondering if there’s any chance that the interface shown in Retroarch’s website (below) will come to Android. It’s really something else:
You can use it with Android right now, you just have to change some settings because this menu doesn’t play nicely with touch/mouse: First, go to settings > onscreen display > onscreen overlay > and set ‘Hide Overlay in Menu’ to OFF. This will make the control overlay appear even when you’re in menus.
Then, go to settings > driver > and set the menu driver from ‘glui’ to ‘xmb’.
Now, go to the main menu and quit retroarch. Reopen it and it should use the fancy XMB menu, which you navigate using the onscreen gamepad controls.
Wow. Awesome! Thank you very much
Retroach is some kind of rpg game in itself, with so many secret dungeons here and there XD
EDIT: Oops. There’s a problem here. If I set Hide Overlay in Menu to OFF, I’m unable to move through the menus (to set the Menu Driver to xmb) I’ll try further later.
once you have the gamepad overlay enabled, just use its buttons to navigate instead of trying to tap on stuff.
That’s it. It works now. Thank you very much, hunterk!
