About ppa retroarch 1.20

hi well that , there are not ppa for retroarch ubuntu 1.20 ???

Which Ubuntu do you have? There is a PPA at https://launchpad.net/~libretro/+archive/ubuntu/stable .

Alternative installation methods to consider if you can’t get the PPA method to work: Snap or Flatpak or AppImage | AppImage Qt

ubuntu 24.04 there are only ppa for 1.19 and de snap flat appimage for some reason the gamepad and keyboard dont work for me only the mouse

I assume these distribution specific packages need some time before they are updated. In example I am on Archlinux (which is known to be up to date) and they need sometimes weeks before updateing retroarch. My point is, it can take a bit time to update the PPA. I don’t know how fast this usually is done.

As for the gamepad issue, I don’t know why it would not work with AppImage, as it is not sandboxed at all.

I’ve never read about keyboard not being recognized. Perhaps you messed up something in your configuration. Inside your home folder, delete the .config/retroarch folder (send it to trash, in case you want to restore it later) and try the AppImage version again.

1.20 is the development version. The PPA testing has that as the latest version, although it shows 1.19 (for some reason that was explained to me, and I forgot).

But it is “testing” as the PPA says, things like that can happen.

The controller should work instantly, if it does not work in any of the 3 packages, try connecting the gamepad to the pc. lol
