Does anyone know if it is possible to access roms located in a SMB share on a pc on the same network when using v1.75 on an android device???
I have TB’s of games shared this way and was hoping to access my shared roms (like I do with all my media) rather than filling up the android device with roms.
Any help would be appreciated
RetroArch doesn’t have SMB access built-in, but if you have a way to mount a SMB directory through other means (CIFS Manager, etc.), RetroArch can launch content from it.
I sure appreciate the help. I have found a clean copy CIFS Manager, but there is really no help with it as far as setting it up. I seem to be able to mount a shared directory, maybe, sorta?? It says it is, but can’t explore it in CIFS Manager (in which is says it needs astro/estrong to view folder). Of course all is fine via ES File Explorer (I assume that is estrong the CIFS is mentioning) or Kodi
I use sshfs on Android, works well… But you need root…
If someone know how to do this without root I would love to know more
