Activating overrides without starting a core, is it possible?

Good afternoon!

I have created overrides for every core that I use, including the default folder for content (File Browser Dir). However, they don't work just by selecting a new core, instead, I have to load a rom/iso first in order to "start" the core and activate the override.

For example:
 • I’m running a rom on Nestopia core
 • then I bring up the menu and select Load Content
 • The folder for Nestopia content is displayed, no problem.
 • then I bring up the menu again and select Load Core and select, let’s say, BSNES Mercury
 • I select Load Content
 • The folder for Nestopia content will be displayed again, even when I already selected another core
 • So I manually go back and select the BSNES Content folder AND load a rom, thus starting the core
 • then I bring up the menu and select Load Content, once again
 • Now it will finally show the BSNES content folder.

This is REALLY annoying. Is it possible to override the File Browser Dir by just selecting a new core? NOT the whole override, though, overriding the shader preset and other options would be annoying, but my point is: If at the menu, at the bottom left corner says 1.3.6 Core X, the File Browser Dir should never point at Core Y content folder (even if Core Y is running content at the moment).

Thank you in advance.

Nope, that’s just how overrides work. They take effect once content is loaded because, as you said, having shaders and everything change as soon as you load a new core would be annoying.

Thank you very much. I thought so, and well, at least playlists are still a good way to “bypass” this issue. =)
