Analog support in xperia play?

hello all!

I am a lucky owner of a xperia play, the love story of retroarch and my phone is going to be the ones that last a lifetime.

So I wonder if there are plans to support the rare analog / touchpads of my phone, right now is something that is not particularly important (except to play quake for example …)

However, when the ultra-awaited landing emulator nintendo 64, the analog will be almost essential to enjoy it.

So, if someone has enough knowledge to perform such a task, I ask in my name (and no doubt, in the thousands of users) to be put to work hehe.

A greeting and a lot of spirit, stick with the best project in the world!!!

Doesn’t touching parts of your analog cause the game to end immediately?

To save them the trouble, the Libretro team doesn’t have an Xperia Play to test with and so fixing its issues, let alone adding improvements, is not in the cards currently.

I dunno if you’re really that lucky with an Xperia Play - it’s old, outdated, abandoned (by Sony) and slow by now.

As we are thousands of users who do not change it for the world … good if, for xperia play 2 lol.

Now, you can watch videos and this phone is amazing, now I’m having the dragon quest ix to full speed in drastic.

And retroarch butt play to all, including CPS3 games and 32x, for that I have to overclock to 1.4ghz.

Come by XDA and see that people are fully geared with this phone.

I have the phone for 3 years and going incredibly well.

Well, as soon as somebody actually gifts one of these sodding things, we’ll be able to support it better.

Until then, you will have issues unfortunately.

@Charliedontsurf

I haven’t use my XP in awhile, but I seem to recall fixing the touchpad issues in RGUI by setting Input -> DPad Emulation -> None. That doesn’t fix the OP’s question, but at least ignores accidental touches.

Well that’s completely true!

Littleguy77 thank you very much, the truth is that I did not know, and more than once I have suffered crashes.

It is clear that the analog support xperia play is not a priority.

Also, to be honest, right now they are not necessary except, however, when you leave the N64 Emulator (and with that is playable on xperia play) if it would be good news if the end is supported.

Many Nintendo 64 games were created with analog in mind and it shows.

And although there are applications to convert tactile buttons to physical controls, give problems, lags etc

A user has offered to send an Xperia Play. So who knows - if that arrives, I will have the opportunity to actually ‘see’ most of these issues and fix them accordingly.

my god that’s amazing news!

thousands of thanks to that person, and millions of thanks to the great team retroarch that is making us dream of our phones and possibilities.
