Are saves from the Citra core compatible with Android app saves?

I would like to sync saves (not states) between the windows Retroarch Citra core and the Android app. It would be nice to use a Citra core on Android as well, but on the Odin 2 it’s just not quite fast enough.

in-game saves should be usable between the two. Savestates will not be.

Aw dang. I just realized that I’d be using Syncthing with nested folders. Two RA folders syncing and then one Citra save folder pointing to a sub folder inside. That’s no bueno.

I might just have to see about standalone Citra on Windows to avoid that unstable configuration.

Edit: it looks like the best solution is simply to sync individual emulator folders. More complicated but at least stable.

It looks as though syncing the individual emulator folders is working appropriately. I’m working on getting Nethersx2 built and installed rn. From a Retroarch front, that should be most of it.

FWIW for those (maybe including me) searching for answers in the future, syncing Citra requires both SDMC and NAND. I found that simpler than syncing the whole Citra folder.
