Bahamut Lagoon English text issue

I had noticed text issue in Bahamut Lagoon when using core Snes9x and it comes out like this.

When I use Snes9x 2005+ it looks normal.

I have tried all of the Super Nintendo cores and Snes9x 2005+ is the only one that doesn’t mess with the text.
