Beetle HW Core (Stretchy characters!) Help!

I’m playing Star Ocean Second Story with Playstation Beetle HW Core. When I walk up to or just past npc’s they stretch out or expand pretty bad! I played around with the settings in the options but couldn’t get it to go away. Can anyone tell me what is happening, why, and if possible, how to fix it?

I don’t know it’s weird. What’s a bezel?

Something to cover up the black bars when using 4:3 on a widescreen monitor.

Anyway, if setting the core ratio to 4:3 fixes the issue, have you tried setting the RA ratio to 16:9 instead (Settings->Video->Scaling) and saving it as a core override for this core?

The thing is I don’t want to play the game in 4:3. In RA settings I have the scaling set to 16:9 but in the Beetle HW options I have force 4:3. Setting it to corrected, uncorrected or force ntsc does nothing.

Wow…Turns out the stretching was caused by the gameshark codes I was using. Turned off all codes and the stretching went away. Don’t know which ones though. I have player 1 all max stats, and codes so all party members have max MP, HP, Infinite MP, HP. And not to mention the M code is like 29 lines long!!
