Beetle PSX HW frequent crashing and Pre-Cache issues

I’ve been having crashing issues consistently in recent days with the mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll core. This problem only happens when Supersampling is enabled, which I have been using without issue for weeks.

The best example I can give is during the beginning of Metal Gear Solid, when you run to the elevator and answer your transmission with the select button, the game will freeze and crash.

The CD Access Method also seems to be having problems. I have Pre-Cache enabled, yet the games aren’t being pre-loaded before starting and I’m getting on screen warnings telling me to enable the feature due to slow disc speeds.

I’m running RetroArch 1.8.1 Stable on Windows 10 from a WD 3.1 USB External HDD. All games are in .pbp format.

My specs are Intel i5 8400 - 16gb DDR4 - Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB.
