I spent about an hour last night almost tearing my hair out because I could no longer get Beetle PSX HW to run full speed in software mode with 2X enabled like I have been in the very recent past. Long story short I found that version 1.7.9 is demanding more of my CPU than 1.7.8 did on this core according to my Rivatuner statistics and is about a 11% hike on average higher on the main core used. I also found this to be true with regular Beetle PSX as well. I worked around this by reinstalling 1.7.8 after I had upgraded to 1.7.9 and just having both versions for now as I still need 1.7.9 to use BSNES HD.
