Hi all, just wondered what ‘Retroarch Options’ settings people have found to be the best (not the core options settings in the Quick menu, but the main options) for the Beetle PSX HW core?
Trying to set up PSX, but wanted to get the ‘Retroarch Options’ setting set up somewhere near first.
I am going to use the Vulcan driver, as that seems to be the best overall (correct me if I am wrong!)
the reason there is so many options in retroarch is because everyone has a different opinion of what ‘best’ is, and this also changes per type of game (2d, 3d etc)
Apart from Video Driver pretty much everything else has no impact on how a core draw a picture of a game. And Beetle PSX is no exception. RetroArch it’s just a UI after all.
But yeah Vulkan driver has the best compatibility for Beetle PSX. If you don’t want to stick with Software rendering.
UPD: You would like to enable Video -> Fullscreen Mode and Audio -> WASAPI Exclusive mode. Both of these help reduce input lag in all games.
