Best way to update retroarch to 1.30 from 1.2.2?

Hi, I take lot of time to configure retroarch 1.2.2 to works on hyperspin with many config files for differents emulators. All is ok now. I would like to update my version to the new 1.3. Is someone could explain me the official way to update without loses my current config ? I have read some thing about this but it’s never the same process and I would prefer the right way to do this thank you for your help regards pierre

You can download the new version and just copy all of your cfg files over to the new installation or you can copy the new executable (retroarch.exe) and cores into the old one. Either way should be fine. Regardless, since you’ve put a lot of time into configuration and RetroArch is a portable application, I recommend making a backup of your working installation first so nothing is lost even if something goes wrong.

thank you so much for the tip I have ever made a backup of the entire folder. bye
