Black screen if resolution is higher than display resolution

Hi,

I noticed that on my Steam Deck, if I set a core resolution higher than the Deck’s screen resolution, I immediately get a black screen. For example, if I use the Integer Scaling option combined with the Overscale option, I get a black screen. Turning off the Overscale renders the game fine. Manually setting a height or a width higher than the display’s height or width also gives a black screen. How can I fix it ? I would like to use the Overscale option on Steam Deck.

It happens on every core.

Edit: I’m using the Vulkan renderer.

Yes, this is a known problem with Vulkan. No solution for it currently other than to use a different video driver.
