Black Screen with RetroArch 1.4

Hi,

I have RetroArch 1.3.6 working fine with many configuration ( Genesis, Snes, Mame, Neo Geo, Psx … ) but when I make a test with 1.4 I have a black screen for all core I have tried.

I think the game run because when I set on “display frame rate” it work at 50 or 60 fps ( pal or ntsc ) but black screen.

I downloaded one more time stable 1.4 version of RetroArch and Latest cores create a new folder, and make a test just by load one core ( no configs, no shaders, just load core, ) and after I load a game, same issue blackscreen.

I run Windows10 64bit Core I7 860 8Go Memory
HD4850

I not understand what happened, I use retroarch for now one year and it’s the first time I have that

Thanks, and sorry for my bad English

It seem this new version not work with driver “gl” in video settings, with d3d all works fine

I have not this issue in 1.3.6, maybe my HD4850 is too old

Hmm, those requirements shouldn’t have changed… Can you open an issue at the RetroArch github repo? https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch

I assume you do not you have threaded video enabled, but just in case I thought I would mention that I have noticed that that in 1.4 enabling threaded video causes the emulator to freeze up on startup. I used this feature 1.3.6 with no problem. Disabling threaded video allows normal (although slower for my older hardware) operation.
