Blargg video filter + bsnes problem?

Hi, downloaded 32-bit retroarch 1.2.2 from site. Tried using bsnes(-mercury) with different blargg snes filters but all of them look the same (RF should be really blurry). Comparing against regular snes9x 1.53 shows blargg filter is not activating. Other ones like 2xsai or scale2x do work correctly.

Been trying to fix this for a few days but no luck. Help please?

edit: mention emulators used

Afaik filters are coded for a particular pixel format. My guess is that our blaarg filter is not coded for the pixel format snes9x uses. Try another core

Sorry for bumping an old thread but this is relevant:

There might be something wrong with Blargg’s filters. Not only does it only work on Snes9x but the picture it produces, although it has the correct resolution, is slightly squashed

Snes9x with RGB filter :

If you look very closely at the orange background you can even see the slot mask being bended

Snes9x without the filter:

The bending is gone

Is this normal behavior of the filter?

Here’s another example

Snes9x with RGB:

Bsnes-mercury (accuracy) (no filter):

Yeah, that is working as intended. I’m not sure why it does it, though.
