The thing is there are plenty games I don’t want in the playlist or are simply not in the database but I still want quick access to them by bookmarking their location.
Is there an option for this I have missed? If not, maybe an option for this will be very nice in the “Import Content” menu.
You can set your file browser location somewhere like your top-level “roms” directory and then just drill down to find things. E.g., roms/SNES/romhacks/whatever.sfc

My roms are scattered across sevral locations.
Bookmarking locations should be very usefull indeed.
settings > directory > File Browser
You can put a different setting for that into a core config override such that once you load something from your e.g. SNES playlist it will change the file browser to your SNES romhacks directory, but I think that’s about as good as you’re going to get.
