Nice work with the Puyo!

There was a generic vertical inside “Default Bezels.zip”:

I tried cropping the bezel in GIMP but then I realized it wasn’t just transparency inside :stuck_out_tongue: makes you think how detailed these overlays really are. If you’re feeling extra brave, it’s isolated here:

There is an alternative one, in case you like it better:

Turns out I’ve already done a few games that use that bezel :+1:

Ah! Then it should be a matter of copying the file and renaming it as “generic-arcade-vertical.png”, then pointing to it in “CORE-ASPECT-ORIENT-VERT.slangp”:

#reference "../../../shaders_slang/bezel/uborder/uborder-bezel-reflections.slangp"

fr_aspect_x = "1.000000"
fr_aspect_y = "1.250233"
fr_zoom = "38.567703"
fr_center_x = "-2.000000"
fr_center_y = "1.387961"
bz_ambient_enable = "1.000000"
bz_inner_bezel_x = "0.008000"
bz_inner_bezel_y = "0.008000"
bz_middle_bezel_x = "0.134000"
bz_middle_bezel_y = "0.100000"
h_overscan_x = "99.200012"
h_overscan_y = "99.600006"
#reference "0-extra-vertical-params.params"

Cotton:

(using Border Alpha Over Content, like @Hari-82 showed, this way it can have reflections)

It’s not the ideal scenario but the general shader for horizontal arcades can be used for any system giving an impressive retro look. Your idea would be to have a general TV overlay with this shader also from Mr.Retrolust but for now this one is great. Thanks for the work

Tweaking the generic

This looks awesome… I’ll update the GDrive to 50 overlays. Then after that I’m not sure there’s much point carrying on with it seeing as you have this option. Great work @bitman :+1:

Thanks! Tweaking still takes effort (especially since all cabinets have slightly different dimensions), so your work is very much appreciated!

Yeah no problem at all… now I can get back to messing with my shield tv :+1:

If there’s any interest I’ll do a zoomed version of those 50 (although it’s not really difficult to adjust the existing ones).

That would be nice :slight_smile:

Alternatively, would you consider using the border alpha trick to bring more Retrolust overlays? (no pressure though!)

On a side note, do you have generic vertical .pngs? I’m wondering if there’s something like this one:

Is there a matching vertical one, or something similar?

Problem with that is that the existing baked in bezels in the Retrolust overlays are a bit small and so for me they gotta go lol!

Here’s a corrected version of MrRetrolust’s Megadrive overlay for those who wanna mess with it (@carlos) :

Inner bezel removed, TV tilt on left side adjusted and viewport lean adjusted. Remaining bezel can be deselected or opacity dropped…have fun :slight_smile:

Here’s the original:

I’ve also just noticed this is 1080p…i’ll upscale to 4k tomoz and spit out some png’s :slight_smile:
