BS Zelda MSU-1 in retroarch

Hi guys,

I wanted to know if someone was able to use BS Zelda with the MSU patch on retroarch with bsnes ? I succeeded to make A Link To The Past work, but not BSZelda. It works on Higan 0.95, 0.100, and Bsnes 0.70 windows version, but on retroarch I always have a black screen, like on higan when the game isn’t supported. Anyone knows how I could modify the manifest.bml to make it work ? It looks like that :

Thanks for your answer :wink: Sadly neither the icarus version (higan 0.96-0.100) nor the daedalus version (higan 0.95) of the manifest work, still black screen as usual. But I wonder about something, in the readme they said the program is making an hybrid file with both, and exporting it. Can’t I just can’t find where it’s exporting any of the files I used (for instance the track files extracted from my .msu1 file). it’s not in the User\Emulation\Super Famicom\bszelda_map1.sfc folder, there I can find only the files generated by icarus or daedalus…

Not sure, I haven’t used it yet, myself. I believe our bsnes cores are based on 094, but I don’t recall whether the manifest format changed between 094 and 095.

They hybrid manifest is just a single manifest with all of the stuff from both versions. It’s a fluke that it works at all and byuu apparently isn’t happy about it, but whatever :slight_smile:

Did you find a solution? I’ve got the same problem and i´m running out of ideas. :confused:

It can handle Satellaview roms, I have BS Zelda with Mottzilla patch working just fine. But I am running into the same black screen as you with the MSU version of Ancient Stone Tablets.

Have you tried looking at the log to see what it is missing/ rejecting? I’ve not tested it yet, but I read an article today on the translated version being released for the BS The Legend of Zelda - Ancient Stone Tablets and would be interested in having it run through RA.
