Bsnes graphical glitches in 1.3.4

Final Fantasy 6’s intro does not set the color level all the way to black before panning upward to where the camera is supposed to start panning downward, and the text begins printing.

I see a very sprightly camera pan upward with the background just barely visible and the text has begun printing, and THEN the game fades the lights up and the intro starts.

This is not normal behavior for Final Fantasy 6. I did not have this problem before the 1.3.4 update.

My gpu is an Intel GMA 4500 and I’m aware how bad that is, but it’s just bsnes, for goodness sake, and it worked before.

I don’t see anything unusual on my end. Can you find a video that shows the old behavior?

I can’t…and reverting to 1.3.2 produces a similar glitch, but it is nowhere near as “almost visible.”

Lowering my screen resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 did not have any effect.

The “Snes9x” core does not produce this glitch, fwiw.
