Is there a way to do a button combo to map different hotkeys? For example, I’d like to be able to hold select + L on a controller to make a savestate, and select + R to load it. I can’t see a way to do it in one of the GUI menus, but can it be done in the config file? Can it be added as a feature if it’s not possible?
There is an option to map a button for ‘enable hotkeys,’ which lets you do basically what you’re describing. The only catch is that the hotkey button can no longer do its regular function, so in your case, you wouldn’t be able to press ‘select’ for its regular function anymore but you could press select+L to savestate or whatever. This also makes no hotkeys work unless you press the button, so you couldn’t have R3 for menu anymore, it would need to be select+R3.
Personally, I find it easier to do things through the menu than to have hotkeys for everything because of the peculiarities of the ‘enable hotkey’ function.
