Cave Story save states not working - Android

Hi all

I’ve just started playing through Cave Story for the first time and I’m having trouble with savestates. The in game saving system works fine but when I try to save using save states I get an error message that says "Failed to save state to /storage/ (the rest of the message is cut off).

Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

@Mpsya I don’t think savestates are hooked up in Cave Story. I think in-game saves are the only option.
