Lot of PlayStation cd roms through retro Arch on my laptop do not. Can someone help me with this
Are they PAL discs, by chance? Only non-protected discs will work.

Yeah, unfortunately a lot of PAL discs included copy protection that will trip up the CD-loading code.
Did not know that so I guess be hard for me living in Australia to dump my games.
