When I try to load certain games on my Raspberry Pi running RetroPi 3.7 and Emulationstation, they run like normal for a split second. The loading percantage will flick on for a second, and I am then taken to the RetroArch setup screen. Exiting the setup screen just takes me back to EmulationStation. I am using lr-mame2010 and a lot of my games work.
That usually means something is missing, like a parent ROM or something like that. If you run RetroArch --menu --verbose, it will print any errors to the console and we can see what’s actually going wrong.
Ok. Thanks.
But seeing as I am a complete beginner at this with little to no experience, how would I go about doing this?
since you’re using retropie, why not read their documentation? https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Managing-ROMs
if you want to see the specific error, have a look in /tmp/runcommand.log after a failed load, but I bet it’s a romset problem
