Cheats not working

I downloaded the latest nightly build, checked the cores to see that cheating was enabled on them, and even downloaded the cheat databases from the online updater, yet when I enable then on snes, genesis or nes, they don’t work. Did I miss enabling something?

Update: Seems the action replay cheats are not working, game genie on the other hand works fine. Am I missing something for the action replay cheats to work?

The problem is action replay codes don’t seem to work in retroarch cores, however game genie does, any reason for this? Do I need a bios of action replay or what?

RetroArch doesn’t impose the cheat support limitations, the cores do.

Trying to use snes cheatcodes but none of them work, tried the cores Snes9x,next, catsfc and pocketsnes. Using latest nightly, are cheats broken?
