I’ve noticed a strange behavior with retroarch and cheat files. If there is a period in the rom’s name it will not save the cht file as the full name of the rom only the name up to the period for example Konami GB Collection Vol.1 (E) [C][!] (2000).gbc saves its cht file as Konami GB Collection Vol.cht. this created a conflict since I was using cheats for both Konami GB Collection GB Collection Vol.1 (E) [C][!] (2000).gbc and GB Collection Vol.4 (E) [C][!] (2000).gbc but since both save there cht file as Konami GB Collection Vol.cht I had a problem that took me some time to figure out. Now of course I can rename the files but the problem is I have a big rom collection and it’s impractical to go through every file and edit out any periods in their names. It would be much better if the devs of retroarch would change it so cht files save with a rom’s full name including and after any periods. By the way I think this behavior is unintentional as state files and save files do not have this problem they always save with full rom name.
