Citra and Redream cores not being updated on buildbot

Spotted that the Citra and Redream cores haven’t been updated on the buildbot (https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/) recently, despite frequent updates to the core in the GitHub repo. Any idea?

Citra (https://github.com/libretro/citra) - 27th Aug buildbot vs 4th Oct GitHub

Redream (https://github.com/inolen/redream) - 16th Sept buildbot vs 3rd Oct GitHub

Yep, worked this one out for Citra. There was a build error in the buildbot for a dependency on OpenSSL. This should be fixed.

Citra is still not updating on the buildbot. The latest build is 27th Aug 2017.

Thanks for fixing Redream. Current github version is on the buildbot.

I knew something was up when I’d heard about improvements to Citra but nothing seemed changed at all the last few months. Guess I should have checked buildbot, I always just use the online updater in the GUI.

Has anyone noticed anything improved/playable compared to Reicast with ReDream?

I just came here to say that I have been watching the Citra Libretro GitHub for a few weeks now waiting for it to be fixed. It won’t even compile for me! I am using Windows 64-bit :frowning:

I ran into the same problem a couple of days ago. Finally managed to compile after hours and hours of troubleshooting and let me tell you - don’t bother. You’ll find the latest core has dependencies which aren’t included in libretro. Basically it just doesn’t work.

Don’t know what’s up with that.

Thank you so much for the response, I am less confused now!

Didn’t the last version require dependencies as well? I know I had to put Citra files in my RA directory somewhere, just like with the PPSSPP stuff.

Let’s keep in mind that not only is Citra itself still in early days, but the libretro core isn’t perfected either. I’m not surprised it hasn’t been a ride down easy street as of yet.

I assume you compiled those cores yourself? I have never had to mix and match .dlls for neither Citra nor PPSSPP using the Core Updater.

Like you said, early days and all. Most likely the latest Citra core, although available for those willing to compile it, isn’t in any sort of ‘ready’ state. It’s worth adding that I couldn’t get the compiled core to work even after supplementing with the necessary dependencies using the latest Citra redist.

Did anyone try the Citra core on the buildbot for Linux dated 2017-11-11? For a long time it was stuck at 2017-08-27, but it seems to be building for Linux again.

it works here: https://i.imgur.com/YzvzAHm.png

I can’t wrap my head around compiling, I just pull from the buildbot when I need new stuff.

I totally didn’t spam the devs in four places until they fixed it. Absolutely not!
