Everything is working perfect but when I go to launch mame roms it closes right away. I’m running windows 8 64bit.

What MAME core are you using? You need the correct romset or it wont work.
I’ve tried all 4.
Like I said you need the correct romset, MAME 2003 uses v078, MAME 2010 uses v139, MAME 2014 uses 0.157. Also try using the fba core it runs a lot of arcade games better than MAME, just search fba roms too.
