I have a Toshiba stor.e 2s 1GB USB 3.0 + 2.0, but in my WII retroarch dont recognise it. Retroarch only works well with USB 2.0 or its a limitation of the WII hardware (USB port 2.0)? Need help please
The Wii only supports USB 2.0 (same with Wii U). A lot of USB 3.0 drives will probably still work because of backwards compatibility with USB 2.0, but the speeds will of course be limited to USB 2.0 speeds. If your drive doesn’t work at all, it could be a problem with your IOS, cIOS or your drive not getting initialized for some reason. Does it work with other Wii homebrew?
Just a heads up: We do not do any testing on cIOSes and I recommend you just stick to using the stock IOS 58 (or 56, whichever one HBC uses).
