Hi I was looking at this in Reddit and looking at the last section it sounds like there’s a way to create core (or CD/game) remaps based on the controller being used?
Ok thanks, this is awesome, so each time a controller is plugged in a new remap can be created linked to that controller and it is loaded automatically, I understand that if the controller has no remap linked then the default input core mapping will be loaded?
As a workaround until now I was emulating all my controllers as Xbox 360 controller via reWASD and mapping the keys in a way that still make sense to play Retroarch cores with also my main controller (Dualsense as Xbox 360 for a second player or when I don’t want to get up and get the controller), and keeping consistent hotkeys, but also also allowing consitent navigation in Bigbox across all controllers.
I’ll need to figure out if all controllers are considered the same by Retroarch while emulated via reWASD otherwise I’ll just do some remaps instead of emulating as Xbox 360 at least for my Saturn style 8BitDo M30 pad and the my 8BitDo arcade stick since they are the ones that will need to be used with different mappings on MAME/FBNeo and Mega Drive/Saturn cores to play well.
They can both be connected as XInput so that shouldn’t be too difficult I reckon.
