It was super convenient for me few versions back when I could switch back to game with same button on my controller I used for bringing that same menu? (input_menu_toggle_btn) Is there a way I could bring that back?

hmm, yeah, that shouldn’t have changed, then. Can you try moving your retroarch.cfg to another directory temporarily to see if there’s anything weird in your config that’s causing that behavior?
Sure but I add “input_menu_toggle_btn” to cores that don’t use R2 and L2 button on my Dualshock 2 controller not to retroarch.cfg.

I found out! When “All users control menu” option is off it works like it used to. Is that a bug or is it supposed to be like that? Looks to me like a bug.
yeah, smells like a bug. probably worth opening an issue at github if you have an account there.

Yeah! Maybe you are not supposed to return to game with one button if other user is controlling menu. I don’t know. Thank you very much for cooperating BTW!
