Controlling startup menu with a BT controller

Do you think that at some point it might be possible to allow a controller to control the startup menu, or perhaps some way of allowing RA to load straight into your history and be select-able with the controller - or even a completely separate controller-mode menu. Obviously you probably wouldn’t want to do setup with a controller, and navigating to any games would be a impractical, but a history option would be great, or a ‘games directory’ location. To be sure, something like this isn’t already available is it?

I just think given how far mobile devices have come, it would be great to be able to plug in an iphone or ipad into a TV and load RA - pick up a controller and away you go sort of thing. Currently you would need to be able to touch the screen to start or change games.

If you are linked to your iPhone via BlueTooth…

During RetroArch Session…

Begin: Playstation Button (R-GUI) > Load Content (History) [[[ OR ]]] Load Content (-Emulator Name-)

File Path: (DEPENDING ON PLATFORM YOU PLAY ON)

iPhone: Root > Var > Mobile > Documents > (Location where you put your ROM files )

You must have initiated a ROM or any sort of Media (to use the R-GUI ) and begin changing ROM’s (Games) from there.

In other words, if you wish to use a BlueTooth device you must start your game manually, and once begun, you can remotely swap to different games as much as you like.
