In my Reicast core it says that 2 of the bios are present but the md5 sums and bios files have a (!) next to them. Is this normal or is something off?
The exclamation mark can be used in video games to signify that a character is startled or alarmed. In the Metal Gear and Paper Mario series, an exclamation mark appears over enemies’ heads when they notice the player.
I used (!) hash|(!) game rom|(md5) hash|(^) continue|[1] notes|[^] continue|[*] list as a guideline to help separate notes from bullet points and to somehow organize the notes a bit better because the information for each core can vary. You can consider them as “information icons.”
If you didn’t have your bios present right there, you may use that (!) information to help yourself. That’s what it was for.
@vidgamer1991: Yes. Normal. Everything looks good.
If you don’t have correct bios, it’ll say Missing, Required
instead.
If you have correct bios, it’ll say Present, Required
.
This is to give some indentations for things under Firmware(s)
away from the cogs.
* Firmware(s):
* (!) Present, Required: dc_boot.bin (Dreamcast BIOS)
* (!) Present, Required: dc_flash.bin (Date/Time/Language)
* (!) dc_boot.bin (md5): hashes-hashes-hashes-hashes
* (!) dc_flash.bin (md5): hashes-hashes-hashes-hashes
Old indentations used to be few whitespace or broken unicode. It didn’t always work well especially when used in different platforms. If you can think of something less confusing than (!)
, feel free to suggest. (n)
for notes? (i)
for information? etc. It also should look very nice on the screen. It’s what I went with.
Oh I’m more then fine with (!) I just didn’t know what it ment. Thanks!.
