Core options never populates

I’m trying to configure a 6 button Sega controller. I have been told this is selectable in core options but ever time I load a core and check the options, it says nothing, no options.

I want to try other things too like enable save states for psx but alas for options no info. I even enter a game, exit it gracefully and no go? I have tried both nighty and stable releases.

And I want to do overrides but again no core options

You have to load a game then go into the menu while the game is running. If there’s still nothing in there, you’re doing something wrong.

Thanks Hunterk that would make too much sense. I dont think I ever accessed the menu while in game, I will hot key the menu and see if I get options in a game.
