Could I get some help? Experiencing technical difficulties

So ive been waiting for this emulator to get fixed on Emulator4ios for quite some time. And it finally got fixed. So I downloaded it form that website onto my iPad, but I’ve been having some technical difficulties.

So I decided to try it out and download Pokemon Ruby and put it on there. I got it to previously work on GBA4ios, so I wanted to see if it could work here.

Well, I sent it to RetroArch, and tried to use it on one of the cores, but got “Failed to load content”.

I tried multiple cores, “Failed to load content”. In fact, I tried to view some of the things that came with the app, anything I clicked on except the cores, “Failed to load content”. Something that got really irritating, but I understood were the ads. Every time it said “Failed to load content”, it would play an ad, which I understand people need money, but got really irritating really fast.

I will admit I’m not the biggest PC know it all. I don’t know about CPUs or other things for that matter, but I know how to download things, patches, shaders, etc. but I don’t understand what it says about something preventing the zip files from opening. So, I have no clue what to do.

So could I get some help or something? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an FAQ on the latest version, so please, may I get some help?

First off, the Emu4iOS version has nothing to do with us, as stated in the README stickied at the top of this subforum. They take the official ad-less code and put those shitty, obtrusive ads in to make money off of it, but they had no hand in writing any of it and have never contributed anything back, be it code or money (not that we would accept the money, anyway, since the RetroArch team is philosophically opposed to accepting money for emulators). Using that package also violates Apple’s ToS, since it’s signed with a revoked enterprise certificate, but that’s your business. Our official packages require a jailbroken device or an Apple Developer account to self-sign the package.

As to your problem, it sounds like you may have permissions issues somewhere. If you don’t have write access to the directory where the ROM is, it can’t unzip the archive, so I would first recommend trying an unzipped ROM and see if that works any better.
