D3dx9_43.dll is missing?

Hi friends,

Pls, when I try to start the Retroarch for the first time, the following message appears:

“d3dx9_43.dll is missing”

I would appreciate any help …

You need to install directx 9.0c from Microsoft’s web installer: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

DirectX End-User Runtime has not worked. So, I solved the problem with “DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)” :slight_smile:

Лучше скачать один файл и заменить в папке, а потом в игре http://d3dx9-dll.com/d3dx9_43.dll.html так проще и практичнее.

Have you tried repairing Retroarch by using the wizard? If not I highly recommend doing it. Second suggestion is to install any PC cleaner tool and run a deep scan, sometimes it get fixed. If the issue persists you should also try replacing the dll file from https://dlldownloads.com/d3dx9_43.dll/ and restart the PC.

Installing bare DLLs from rando websites is a bad practice. If you need that library, you need to install directx 9.0c from MS’ web installer.
